Student Complaint Policy Notice
ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS:
AURORA Health and Educational Institute hereby posts the AURORA Health and Educational Student Complaint Policy in accordance with Title 40, Texas Administrative Code, Section 807.301 (5).
1. AURORA Health and Educational institute has a certificate of Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) to operate in the State of Texas. The TWC – assigned school number for AURORA Health and Educational Institute is S2304.
2. AURORA Health and Educational Institute programs are approved by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).
AURORA Health and Educational Institute provide a prompt and equitable process for resolving student grievances. Many questions or concerns that a student might have can be resolved simply through dialogue. Though we encourage the student to discuss any issue with the instructor first, the Director maintains an “open door” policy at all times.
Students with concerns should observe the following steps:
· Communicate with the appropriate instructor or staff member
· Communicate with your counselor or program director
· Communicate with the School Director
The procedure is available to any student who believes that the school decision or action has adversely affected his/her status, rights, or privileges as a student. Students with a grievance must first make a reasonable effort to resolve the issue on an informal basis with faculty or administrative personnel. If the issue is not resolved to the student’s satisfaction, the student may meet with the school Director who shall review the grievance with all parties. The School Director’s decision is considered final at the institutional level. Unresolved concerns may be appealed to the School President personally or in writing. The School President has the responsibility to reach a solution that is satisfactory for both the school and the student.
If the problem or grievance is not resolved after exhausting all previous steps, students may contact:
Texas Workforce Commission
